This luminous apartment owes its name to Ballajá Barracks. The Barracks where the last edification built by the Spanish Empire in the New World, it once housed 1,000 soldiers and their families.

Coincidently, Ballajá apartment is a comfortable space to spend quality time with family or friends, since 5 people sleep comfortably.

It has 2 living rooms spaces, with sleeping area & half bathroom, a master bedroom with a full bathroom, dining area and fully equipped kitchen. The whole apartment is dominated by its ample window; this 14 foot tall pane permits a continuous luminosity of the residence, since it’s placed in the center of the apartment and leads to the colonial Indoor Patio.

Ballajá is the perfect apartment to discover the history and the stunning scenery of Old San Juan with your loved ones.

This place ooozes with coolness!! My son and I stayed for 3 nights in May. Great experience. Betsy and Gustavo are gracious hosts. They renovated this unit in January. If you want to stay in Old San Juan, this is by far the best location - next to Cathedral, El Murro, and El Convento. 2 blks away is Plaza des Armas, where you'll find Walgreens, supermarket and 24-hr coffee/sandwich kiosk.
